St. Vincent out-plants the rest of the Caribbean to win ENO 2014 Treelympics.

The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment partnered with Scotia Bank, OECS and Richmond Vale Academy’s Climate Compliance Conference in the 2014 ENO Treelympics.

St. Vincent & the Grenadines has won a medal in The Olympic Games in Tree-planting and a representative was present at the award ceremony in Finland in November 2014.

The Treelympics is an action organised by Environment Online (ENO), a global virtual school and a network for sustainable development.

More than 10,000 schools from 157 countries have participated since the launch in 2000. Schools have planted 17 million trees with the target being 100 million by 2017.

In 2014 St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Turkey have shown to be the most active participants in the world.

The ENO Treelympics Seminar and Award Ceremony took place in Joensuu, Finland on November 20, where a representative from Richmond Vale Academy (RVA) was present to receive the medal.
